New Delhi: On Day 11 of the ongoing Asian Games 2023, India’s javelin throw champion Neeraj Chopra will compete for the coveted trophy today evening. The World champion javelin thrower will be looking to defend his title in the 19th Asian Games by winning the second consecutive gold.
Neeraj Chopra, since his stupendous show at Tokyo Olympics, has taken the sport by storm and has been winning medals at various championships held across the globe.
Today evening, as the Olympic medalist takes to ground for big face-off, a billion plus population would stay hooked to star athlete’s game with hopes of another gold medal in India’s kitty.
Neeraj was already the favourite to win the gold medal and with Pakistani rival & world silver medallist Arshad Nadeem being ruled out of the game, the game could turn out to be a cakewalk for him.

Together, they have rivaled against each other in at least 9 events including the 2018 Asian Games. Neeraj managed to get the better of Pakistani rival each time and always stood on top of the podium.

Neeraj Chopra is set to take the field today evening. The game will begin at 4.45 PM and will see many competitors fighting it out for the coveted medal.

The 25-year-old has maintained excellent stats since his Olympic bout, however, his little disappointing performance in Diamond League 2023 does comes as a setback. With a personal aim of achieving 90 metre target, the athlete could do his best throw at 83.80 metres in Diamond League.
