In fact, the Delhi franchisee’s heartwarming gesture for Rishabh Pant was also lauded by fans. In their opener match against Lucknow Super Giants, the Delhi Capitals hung the jersey of Rishabh Pant in their dugout. Reports also suggest that Delhi team mates will also be wearing a jersey of Rishabh Pant in one of the matches.

Rishabh got grievously injured on December 30, last year while returning to his home town Roorkee. The horrific incident ruled him out of action for more than 6-7 months including the Indian Premier League (IPL). His long hiatus from the Delhi franchise made way for David Warner, who was announced as Team skipper for the Season 16.
