New Delhi: Javelin-thrower Neeraj Chopra has created history at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, by clinching first ever gold medal for India in athletics. 23-year old Chopra hails from the state of Haryana.
Now the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar has announced a reward of Rs 6 crores to Neeraj for winning a Gold in the Olympics. He threw a distance of 87.58m to pick the gold at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
Congratulating Neeraj, Mr Khattar took to twitter and wrote, “The entire country was waiting for this moment for a long time and the whole country is proud of him”.

Neeraj has now become the second Indian after Abhinav Bindra to win a gold medal in individual events in Olympics.
Meanwhile, a video of Haryana Home Minister Anil Viz is doing rounds on the internet as the minister breaks into dance after the golden win in the Olympics.
