New Delhi: Veteran Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav, who is currently leading India in the ongoing T20 series against South Africa, shared a cryptic Instagram post on Saturday that left his fans confused & concerned.

Despite scoring a match-winning century in the second T20 international against the Proteas team on Thursday, the Mumbai Indians star batter took to his social media handle and dropped a picture of a heartbroken emoji.

As Surya’s heartbreak post came just a day after Mumbai Indians, in a shocking announcement, took away the team’s captaincy from Rohit and made Hardik Pandya their new captain for IPL 2024, fans are now seeing the same as a way of him protesting against the franchise’s controversial decision.

While some are saying that Surya, who wanted to be the next leader of the Mumbai franchise after Rohit,
is dejected from Hardik getting crowned as the team’s new captain, others are claiming that the cricketer is angry at the team management for taking away the helm of Mumbai Indians from Rohit Sharma against all the odds.

Interestingly, a few days back, star Indian paceman Jasprit Bumrah, who was also one of the top contenders for MI’s leadership after Rohit, also shared a cryptic post on his Instagram after Hardik Pandya left Gujrat Titans and rejoined his former franchise Mumbai Indians.

Taking to his social media handle, Bumrah, on November 28, shared a post that read, “Sometimes silence is the best answer.”
