These three Indian footballers praying to their respective religions ahead of Belarus match win hearts online; Pics inside

Belarus scored three in the second half and defecated India by 3-0 in an international friendly played in Manama on Sunday.

New Delhi: India’s Football team may have lost against Belarus by 0-3, the three Indian footballers are winning hearts on the internet today. These three players were seen praying to their respective religions as per their faith prior to the start of the match on Sunday.

The heart-warming picture was originally shared by the official Indian Football Team on Twitter and was later widely shared by the netizens.

The picture in one word showed unity in sport despite the diversity present in it. Netizens flooded the social media with praises and lauded the secularity practiced within the team.

One of the users wrote, “This is what we should strive for as a nation. Love this,” while another one wrote, “This is rare. Love and kindness (spread it since it’s contagious).”

Meanwhile, Belarus scored three in the second half and defecated India by 3-0 in an international friendly played in Manama on Sunday.

The three Belarusian players who scored against India are Bykau Artsem, Andrei Salav, and Hramyka Varely.

Reportedly, this was India’s first match against the UEFA side. They last played against Azerbaijan in 2012.

Initially, India’s match against Belarus was in doubt as to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) wished to avoid playing against the East European country considering its support to Russia amid the Ukraine invasion. Besides, the world governing body FIFA had banned Russia from all international matches, but nothing so in terms of Belarus.
