New Delhi: India's Football team may have lost against Belarus by 0-3, the three Indian footballers are winning hearts on the internet today. These three players were seen praying to their respective religions as per their faith prior to the start of the match on Sunday. The three Belarusian players who scored against India are Bykau Artsem, Andrei Salav, and Hramyka Varely. Reportedly, this was India’s first match against the UEFA side. They last played against Azerbaijan in 2012. Initially, India’s match against Belarus was in doubt as to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) wished to avoid playing against the East European country considering its support to Russia amid the Ukraine invasion. Besides, the world governing body FIFA had banned Russia from all international matches, but nothing so in terms of Belarus.
