VIDEO: Enraged Virat Kohli smashes bat on ground over controversial LBW Dismissal

Kohli’s LBW barely affected RCB’s run-chase in the game. Glenn Maxwell brought the final win for the team with two boundaries in the climax

New Delhi: The Mumbai Indians (MI) encountered a disappointing fourth defeat in a row on Saturday, in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Though, its under-19 newbie Dewald Brevis, also known as Baby AB has stolen all the attention with his maiden wicket, tricking skipper Virat Kohli, dismissing his first-ever fifty in the current season of the tournament.

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Kohli was all set to deliver his first half-century for the season at 48 runs when Brevis took to attack surprising the latter with a length ball hitting his pad. To a massive appeal from the Mumbai Indians, the umpire Virender Sharma declared it to be a straight-away out.

However, Kohli believed it to be otherwise and signaled for a second review. The UltraEdge showed there was no contact between bat and ball while ball-tracking showed 3 reds. After missing to score his first half-century in the tournament, the anguished batter smashed his bat on the ground on his way to the pavillion.
