Rohit & Rahane were caught up by press during a training session in Dominica. Replying to a question from reporter, Team India’s Vice-captain said that he is not old and sees himself as young cricketer. This left captain Rohit Sharma laughing loudly.

A video of this was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), India’s cricketing body.

What Rohit asked as ‘reporter’

Later, turning reporter, Rohit Sharma posed a set of questions to which Rahane obliged with interesting answers.

Rohit asked Rahane about his take on game in the Caribbean and what would be his message to the youngsters.

“My message for all youngsters is it is essential to have patience as a batter,” replied Rahane.

Rahane also said, “I am still young. There’s still a lot of cricket in me.” This was the comment that drew guffaws from skipper Rohit.

“At the moment, I am enjoying my cricket. I am not overthinking about the future. For now, every match is important for me,” Rahane said further.

Team India is all set to take on West Indies later this week. The match is crucial for both the teams as this will have a direct bearing on their standings in the ICC World Test Rankings.
