Virat Kohli returns to pavilion; hits 35 runs off 34 balls

Cricketer Virat Kohli went back to the pavilion after scoring 35 runs off 34 balls in the second Asia Cup match against Pakistan. 

New Delhi: Cricketer Virat Kohli went back to the pavilion after scoring 35 runs off 34 balls in the second Asia Cup match against Pakistan. Playing his 100th T20 match, Kohli made a record of crossing over 300 boundaries. At present, Paul Stirling from Ireland leads the tally of four runs with 344 boundaries while Rohit Sharma from India has 313 fours in his name.

After winning the toss, India-led by Rohit Sharma chose to bat first. Playing the first, Pakistan set the target of 147 runs for men in blue. India bundled out Pakistan within the target of 150 runs with the help of Bhuvneshwar who clinched 4 wickets, followed by Hardik Pandya (3) and Arshdeep Singh (2).

For Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan hit 43 runs while Iftikhar Ahmed smashed 28 runs. The duo helped the team to take the total beyond the 50-run mark.

Ahmed was saved once in the match as Chahal dropped his catch. However, Hardik Pandya sent him to the pavilion in his next over.

This is the second match of the Asia Cup 2022 here at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The first watch was played between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Sri Lanka won the match.

The next between Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE.
