Virat Kohli to start restaurant in late actor Kishore Kumar’s Mumbai bungalow

Former India captain hinted at his upcoming venture through his Instagram story which read, “Juhu, Mumbai #ComingSoon”

New Delhi: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has recently taken a portion of late actor Kishore Kumar’s ‘Gouri Kunj’ bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai. Kohli wishes to develop this part of the bungalow owned by Kumar’s family as the next outlet of his restaurant chain called ‘One8 Commune’.

The name of the food chain is inspired by his jersey number 18, and if reports are believed, the batter is planning to open his next lavish restaurant by the next month.

Former India captain hinted at his upcoming venture through his Instagram story which read, “Juhu, Mumbai #ComingSoon”. The resto-chain has its outlets in cities like Delhi, Pune, and Kolkata.

The part of Gouri Kunj earlier had a restaurant which now has been shut down according to business listings. The place called ‘B Mumbai’ had made headlines some years back when the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had served it a notice due to invalid construction norms.

The issue however was solved by the restaurant owners by razing off the particular portion of the construction.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has reportedly taken the section of the bungalow on a lease of five years and the restaurant can be opened by the end of this month only.

On the work front, Kohli is a part of the Indian team defending its Asia Cup title in the ongoing tournament in UAE. Kohli would make efforts to return back to his, a hint of which was seen in his performance against arch-rival Pakistan in recently concluded match on Sunday.
