New Delhi: Wales will be hosting the Czech Republic in their second game of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday.

Wales was defeated by 3-1 to European giants Belgium in their first match of the qualifiers.

Harry Wilson’s early goal gave Wales an early lead, but Belgium counterattacked in a heavy style. Lukaku, De Bruyne and Hazard scraped their names on the scoresheet.

The Czech Republic has also played Belgium in their last face-off in the World Cup competition and managed to pull out a 1-1 draw. Both the teams settled for a point as Lukas Provod’s goal was canceled by Inter Milan’s striker Romelu Lukaku.

Wales is sitting in the fourth position in the table with zero points after one game, while the Czech Republic is leading in their group with four points in two games.

Both the teams are in a tough stage group, and a loss can be extremely heavy for either side going forward in the qualifiers.

The Czech Republic will be a better side on Wednesday and, Ryan Giggs’s men might find it difficult to secure a goal.
