New Delhi: Thomas Jack Draca, 24 has scripted history by becoming the first Italian-born cricketer to register for the mega auction for the IPL 2025.
The Italian cricketer has progressed by leaps and bounds in 2024 in the process of becoming one of the best and most prominent players from an associate nation. Draca broke through in the Global T20 Canada 2024 league, where he scalped 11 wickets in just six games for Brampton Wolves. His economy of 6.88 stood out as well.
Now, with the IPL 2025 Mega auctions, the Italian is set to rock the Indian cricketing stage.
Who is Thomas Draca?
Born on October 23, 2000, Draca is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pacer who has displayed exceptional talents in both international and franchise cricket. The Italian fast bowler has played for his national team in 4 T20Is since his debut against Luxembourg on June 9, 2024.
Although his T20I career has been short, the Italian bowler has been impressive in his short stint, claiming eight wickets so far in 4 matches. This also includes notable performances against teams like Romania and the Isle of Man.
