WPL Auction 2023: Final squads for all 5 franchisees, and expenses incurred by each

Following are how the franchises line up ahead of the WPL 2023 debut season, which will begin on March 4 and continue till March 26:

New Delhi: The first Women’s Premier League (WPL) player auction ended on Monday, (February 13) with 87 players garnering agreements, including 30 international cricketers. The five franchisees — Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Giants (GG), and UP Warrioz (UPW) — invested a total of Rs 59.5 crore. Each team was given a budget of Rs 12 crore.

Here’s the amount spent and the number of players bought in each franchise:

DC: 18 players for Rs 11.65 crore

RCB: 18 players for Rs 11.90 crore

MI: 17 players for Rs 12 crore

UPW: 16 players for Rs 12 crore

GG: 18 players for Rs 11.95 crore

Mumbai Indians: Harmanpreet Kaur, Amelia Kerr, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Yastika Bhatia, Pooja Vastrakar, Issy Wong, Heather Graham, Dhara Gujjar, Amanjot Kaur, Hayley Matthews, Saika Ishaque, Priyanka Bala, Humairaa Kaazi, Chloe Tryon, Jintamani Kalita, Sonam Yadav, Neelam Bisht.
