New Delhi: The auction for the second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is all set to be held today (9 December 2023) in Mumbai.

The auction will decide the fate of 165 players who will go under the hammer with the hope of getting sold to any of the league’s five franchises. Out of the 165 cricketers, 104 are Indians and 61 belong to other cricketing nations, including the associate countries.

Speaking about the slots, all five franchises (Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriors, Royal Challenger Banglore, and Gujrat Giants) will have 30 slots each in the auctions out of which, 9 will be exclusively reserved for players from overseas.

When and where to watch? (India)

The upcoming auctions, which are scheduled to be held in Maharashtra’s Mumbai today, will be televised live on Sports 18 Network from 14:30 Indian Standard Time (IST)

Other than that, you can also catch the bidding war live on the digital platform Jio Cinema which is the official streaming partner of the league.
