As on Day-90 of the vaccination drive (15th April, 2021), 27,30,359 vaccine doses were given. Out of which, 21,70,144 beneficiaries were vaccinated across 39,280 sessions for first dose and 5,60,215 beneficiaries received second dose of vaccine, it said.

Poonawalla said many countries have been writing to India and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) for vaccines to be supplied from Serum Institute to their countries.
The decision was taken at a meeting on Saturday in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the status of COVID-19 in the country and the preparedness of states and union territories for vaccination against the disease.
Earlier today, COVID-19 vaccines of Serum Institue of India and Bharat Biotech have been granted permission for restricted use in an emergency situation, said Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI).
On the issue of COVID-19 vaccination drive in India, Dr. Randeep Guleria, "India to roll out COVID-19 vaccines for a large part of the country and therefore we will see the vaccine available in our country in the very near future."
