The Union Health Ministry, on Thursday, informed that the share of active cases in the total positive COVID-19 cases has further shrunk to 1.81 per cent while the recovery rate improved to 96.75 per cent. 

On Tuesday, the Union Health Ministry said that India's present active caseload now consists of just 1.90 per cent of the country's total positive cases while the recovery rate has leapt past 96.66 per cent.

According to the India Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 18,42,32,305 samples were tested for COVID-19 till January 13, of which 7,43,191 samples were tested yesterday.

Speaking about the COVID-19 situation, she reminded people that the pandemic is not yet over and masks should be used and safety protocols followed.

Coronavirus in India: On Tuesday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed that the coronavirus recovery rate touched 96.49 per cent. It also said that the total number of persons found to be positive with the new UK variant genome stands at 96.

Coronavirus case in India: The country's total active caseload had fallen to below 2.25 lakh (2,22,526) on Monday. The Ministry of Health said that till Monday, the active caseload consists of just 2.13 per cent of India's total positive cases.

Coronavirus in India: The Union Health Ministry informed that India's coronavirus fatality rate dropped to 1.44 per cent on Sunday while the recovery rate has improved to 96.42 per cent.

On Friday, the Union Health Ministry informed that the share of active coronavirus cases in the total positive cases has further shrunk to 2.16 per cent and the recovery rate has also increased to 96.39 per cent.
