diesel price

The BJP government has failed on all fronts and crushed the common man. Every action of theirs seems like a punishment for people.

People in Delhi will have to shell out Rs 80.02 for buying a litre of diesel (increased by Rs 0.14) and Rs 79.92 for one litre of petrol (increased by Rs 0.16).

"Even a one rupee increase has an effect on us. The government should not increase prices like this, they should try to stop this hike as and when they can," a commuter told ANI here.

Retail pump price of petrol was hiked by 9 paise per litre and that of diesel by 11 paise, according to a price notification of state-owned fuel retailers.

As per data by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., the petrol price increased by 10 Paise on Friday, whereas the diesel price peaked to Rs 68.40 litre from Rs 68.25 a litre on Friday.

Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol has been increased to 26.80 per cent and 17.48 per cent on diesel. The prices have gone up starting Monday midnight.
