This means that more and more COVID-19 patients are getting cured and discharged. On 10th June 2020, for the first time, the total number of recovered patients exceeded the active cases with a difference of 1,573 which has increased to 5,77,899 as on today.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, “Out of the total Active Cases, only 0.28% patients are on Ventilators, 1.61% Patients needed ICU support and 2.32% are on Oxygen support”.
Zydus’ vaccine ZyCoV-D has been developed indigenously at the company's Vaccine Technology Centre in Ahmedabad after completing the preclinical phase.
The cumulative number of samples tested, as of now is 1,15,87,153. As a result of these efforts, the testing per million for India is presently 8396.4.
Out of the total number of cases, 2,83,407 are active, 5,15,386 have been cured/discharged/migrated and 22,123 have died so far due to the infection, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The DRDO-built Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel COVID-19 Hospital in Delhi Cantonment, the temporary hospital structure that has been erected in 11 days and has 1,000 beds including 250 ICU beds, informed DRDO officials.
"So far, 11,300 'Make In India' ventilators have been dispatched; 6,154 delivered to hospitals. Ministry of Health is also supplying 1.02 lakh oxygen cylinders across India; 72,293 delivered," Dr Harsh Vardhan tweeted
