The Commission was mandated to give its recommendation for five years, from 2021-22 to 2025-26, by October 30, 2020.
In 2020-21, a sum of Rs. 23,500 Crore has been allocated for the implementation of JJM. At present, more than Rs. 8,000 Crore of Central fund is available with the States/ UTs for the implementation of the Mission.
