The Centre has said that there is a need to exponentially increase tests in states, Union Territories that are reporting a spike in COVID-19 cases.
The Union Health Minister said that 430 districts in the country have not reported a single case of coronavirus in the last 28 days.
According to the health ministry, Maharashtra reported the highest daily new cases at 30,535 (65.03 percent), followed by Punjab

Meanwhile, sitting and retired Supreme Court judges will also get Covid-19 vaccine shots from today. The judges’ families will also get the vaccine in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Central government.
The PMO statement also said Modi decided to take the shot early morning, without any special route restrictions so people are not inconvenienced.
With this, the total number of cases in the country has reached 1,08,92,746 including 1,36,571 active cases and 1,06,00,625 discharges.
