Journalist Priya Ramani has pleaded not guilty and claimed trial as a Delhi court frames defamation charge against her in a case filed by former Union Minister MJ Akbar.

A Delhi court on Monday granted bail to journalist Priya Ramani on a personal bond of Rs 10,000 in a defamation case filed by former Union minister M J Akbar. The case against Ramani was filed by Akbar, who was Minister of State for External Affairs, after #MeToo allegations were levelled against him.

A court here on Wednesday summoned senior journalist Priya Ramani in a criminal defamation case filed by former Union Minister M.J. Akbar. The court has summoned her on February 25.
