The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had accused the BJP-led Centre of showing hostility and not giving political clearance to Kejriwal and others for attending the conference.

The University, Kejriwal said, would also cater to those sportspersons who struggle all their life for employment after they fail to get the desired success in their field.

INLD leader Vedpal Narang, who is considered a stalwart from the Barwala Assembly seat, Congress leaders Ramswarup Rama and Phool Singh Kheri were among the persons who took BJP's membership today.

This is not the first time that the state government has made the allegation of outsiders landing up to avail of medical facilities in the national capital and thus disrupting the healthcare system.

The BJP and Shiv Sena contested 2014 state assembly elections separately after they failed to arrive at a seat-sharing formula. However, they formed the government in the alliance after the elections as none of them was able to secure the majority on its own.

Jaitley passed away in New Delhi on August 24 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). He was 66. He was cremated with full state honours at the Nigambodh Ghat in the national capital on August 25.

The Congress, Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the left parties opposed the Bill.

Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the central government is bringing the law on triple talaq for the social, financial and constitutional empowerment of Muslim women in the country.

Akbaruddin asserted that the BJP leader who won the Nizamabad parliamentary seat may occupy the post of Mayor. He further appealed to the Muslim community to come together and stand strong, adding that if they fail to do so, BJP may win the municipality election.

"Lakhs of farmers of this country are confronted with multi-fold problems which are yet to be addressed properly by different governments, both at the centre and state levels," Acharya said in a statement.
