Rafale jet

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam on Wednesday called his senior party leader Mallikarjun Kharge an atheist for dubbing Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accepting Rafale fighter aircraft in France a "tamasha" (drama).

On October 9, Singh will address the CEOs of the French defence industry during which he is likely to urge them to participate in 'Make in India' and the Defence Expo to be held in Lucknow in February next year.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday described as "fudged arithmatic" a newspaper article on the Rafale fighter jet deal which had said the 36 aircraft signed by the Modi government cost 41 per cent more per aircraft than what was provided in the deal negotiated by the UPA government.
