Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on August 5, according to Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the president of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust.

The Shiv Sena chief had visited Ayodhya in November last year and demanded the construction of a temple.

Chief Justice Gogoi, while hearing the matter, said, "We are not going to tell what progress has been made, that is confidential." When the case came up for hearing today, the mediation panel headed by retired Supreme Court judge Fakkir Mohamed Ibrahim Kalifulla submitted its report to the court.
