While the operating profit was reduced to Rs 376 crore from Rs 1,189 crore, the profit before tax got slashed to Rs 682 crore in Q1 FY21 from Rs 1,579 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.
Tax expenses fell sharply to Rs 16 crore in March quarter against Rs 50 crore in the same period last year.
The standalone revenue for the quarter decreased by 33 per cent to Rs 10,800 crore, the company said in a statement.
The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortisation and restructuring or rent costs (EBITDAR) came in at Rs 1,961 crore, up 17.2 per cent from Rs 1,673 crore reported in the same quarter of previous fiscal. The EBITDAR margin came in at 19.7 per cent.
