Elon Musk’s suggestion on taking away voting rights for ‘childless’ triggers debate

The Tesla CEO’s comments came on back of insinuations & conjectures by some netizens, that single white women of France were turning the nation into Muslim-majority country.

New Delhi: Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, known for his penchant for igniting controversy & debates on social media, has sparked off a fresh war of words among netizens, over his suggestion of ‘no voting rights for childless people’.

The Tesla founder, during the weekend tweeted, “The Childless have little stake in the future.” Musk said this while replying to ‘twitter discussion’ during the weekend, on spread of Islam & jihad in France and how was it ‘connected’ to white women voters.

The Tesla CEO’s comments came on back of insinuations & conjectures by some netizens, that single white women of France were turning the nation into Muslim-majority country.

With the US billionaire endorsing ‘no child, no vote’ policy, it ignited series of reactions on social media.

Many described him as the Right-leaning businessman while others concurred with the idea, that this was the right step towards ‘sustaining the civilization’.

One user argued that limiting suffrage to parents will in all likelyhood address procreation & maintain a sustainable society, to which Musk replied “Yup”.

The recent wave of riots in France, described as Islamic jihad, pushed the country in utter chaos & also brought country’s white women voters in focus. With Musk endorsing ‘no voting rights for childless’ goes against the Muslim community which globally has the highest growth rate. Remember, Musk has been branded right-leaning individual at couple of occasions.

At a couple of occasion earlier, Musk has lamented about the declining birth rates in United States and also rued that ‘smart people’ were opting to live life without children.

Musk himself has fathered nine children, reports say.

In 2022, he wrote on Twitter, “A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.”
