Google turns 25, celebrates birthday with reminiscing doodle “A walk down memory lane”

To celebrate this momentous anniversary, the firm today presented a “walk down memory lane” of past doodles. The company said that it was taking the day to reflect while remaining focused on the future.

New Delhi: To mark its silver anniversary, Google today included a commemorative doodle on its homepage. The GIF begins with the original Google logo and progresses through all the variations up to the present-day design which turns ‘Google’ into ‘G25gle’.

The company officially began operations under the name Google Inc. on September 27, 1998. A corporate blog states that Sergey Brin and Larry Page met when they were both pursuing doctorates in computer science in the late 1990s.

Those two quickly realised that they had the same goal – to make the Internet more user-friendly. Google was established on September 4, 1998, and Google Inc. was formally established on September 27, 1998.

After seven years of celebrating on September 4, the day this search engine indexed a record number of pages, the firm decided to move the celebration to September 27. The first-ever doodle focused on the annual ‘Burning Man’ festival held in Black Rock City, Nevada.

To celebrate this momentous anniversary, the firm today presented a “walk down memory lane” of past doodles. The company said that it was taking the day to reflect while remaining focused on the future.

” 25 years ago, Google Search launched from a garage in a California suburb. Today, we have offices and data centers in over 200 cities on six continents. In honor of our 25th birthday tomorrow, take a world tour with us #Google25 ↓” Google wrote on its Twitter account.

Sundar Pichai, Google’s current CEO, sent a birthday letter to the company last month. He discussed the history of the firm, its impact on technological development, and the direction it would take going forward. He thanked everyone who had anything to do with Google’s success, from customers to workers to business associates. He also lauded Google’s history of innovation and the hard work of its current employees.

The value of creativity and flexibility was again stressed by Mr Pichai in his message. Since the limits were always being pushed, he admitted, what was once considered exceptional technology had become commonplace.
