New Delhi: After billionaire Elon Musk took the social media behemoth Twitter, reports floated that the company will cut down at least 50% of its employees while a major policy shift was in the offing.

‘New rule for Twitter staff: Work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week or get fired’ is the viral message attributed to Tesla founder & new owner of Twitter.

Though there has been no official confirmation about new set of rules for people working in the social media firm, pictures & reports of stringent measures in Twitter office have already started surfacing on the internet. Yesterday, an employee taking nap in her sleeping bag, reportedly at the Twitter office was widely shared on the social media platforms.

Soon after Twitter takeover, Musk sent the CEO Parag Agrawal & 3 other top officials packing and laid out new rules for bringing out 360 degree change in the way it operates and generates revenue. Though, the new Twitter owner has denied any major policy shift but the speed of changes, within a week of takeover, has set tongues wagging.

‘12 hours/day & 7 days a week’ rule hasn’t impressed people and they are livid over this ‘feudal culture’ being brought in. Many netizens vent out their anger & disliking for newly proposed office rules.

Reports, citing top managers of the company, says that employees have been told to stretch for longer hours to meet Elon Musk’s deadlines else their job may be at risk. They have also been reportedly told to justify their work & also bring to table about how much value they bring to company.
