New Delhi: Ever since its launch back in November 2022, OpenAI’s AI-powered chatbot ChatGPT has gained massive popularity amongst the masses who are amazed with its groundbreaking ability to generate codes and give clear and calculated human-like responses to answer complicated questions.
A good example of the AI tool’s intelligence is a recent incident where a man utilized the revolutionary chatbot’s artificial intelligence to write an apology letter for his upset wife. He also shared the screenshots of the AI-generated apology note on Reddit and the same is now going viral on the internet.
Man makes ChatGPT write apology letter on behalf
As the man commanded the genius Chatbot to generate an apology note for his wife on his behalf for going out with his friends without informing her about the same, the chatbot simply refused to apologize on his behalf. However, it later came up with a possible human-like apology note and surprised everybody.
The apology
In the apology note, the AI tool wrote, “Sweetheart, I’m sorry for not telling you that I was going out with the boys. I should have communicated with you before making any plans. I understand that it must have made you feel neglected and disrespected, and for that, I apologize. I promise to be more considerate of your feelings and to communicate better in the future. Please forgive me”
However, the guy wasn’t just satisfied with the apology letter and even asked the bot to provide him with a short message that can be sent to his wife in case she ignores the letter.
Responding to the man, the chatbot smartly suggested that she should give some space to his wife. It also accepted the command and came up with a message that read, “Hey, just wanted to check in and see how you’re doing. Let me know if you need anything or if there’s anything I can do to help. Love you.”
Netizens react
The viral Reddit post of the man’s conversation with ChatGPT triggered mixed reactions from the netizens. While some were seen finding the whole apology thing hilarious, others are slamming the guy for using Artificial intelligence even for apologizing.
“If I was angry at my wife and she used this emotionless chatbot for apologizing to me, I will hell mad at her.” wrote one user. Another said, “I wouldn’t want something to calm my anger down I would rather go for an honest apology.”
A third user commented that the guy should have asked the Chatbot for a spine.
