“Meta Verified”: After Twitter Blue, now Facebook and Instagram users to get paid verification tick…Here is how much it will cost

New Delhi: American tech conglomerate Meta on Sunday (February 19) confirmed the launch of “Meta Verified” -a paid subscription service similar to Twitter Blue.

In Meta Verified subscription, the users will get both their Facebook and Instagram verified.

The announcement about the launch of Meta Verified was made by the CEO of Facebook-parent Meta, Mark Zuckerberg on Sunday.

The “Meta Verified” service will cost $11.99 a month to authenticate their account.

How to subscribe for the blue tick?

According to Mark Zuckerberg, the individual will have to provide their government ID, extra protection against impersonation, direct access to customer support and more visibility.

Also, individuals above 18 years of age will be able to subscribe.

The Meta Verified service is not yet available to businesses.

Changes to expect?

Those accounts which are already verified will see no changes.
