SPARK: India’s first space themed virtual museum launched by ISRO

According to the information, the platform hosts several documents, images, and videos related to ISRO launch vehicles, satellites, and scientific missions.

New Delhi: Under the Digital India initiative, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched SPARK, calling it a virtual space tech park. Sharing the announcement on Twitter, ISRO wrote tech park has been launched to showcase interactive digital content pertaining to various missions.

Chairman, ISRO & Directors of the various ISRO centres appreciated the initiative taken. They also suggested more non-sensitive digital content be brought on this platform for use by different stakeholders.

What is SPARK?

At the time of launch, ISRO Chairman S Somanath was present. He also appreciated the effort to launch SPARK. According to the information shared by ISRO on its website, ”The platform hosts several documents, images and videos related to ISRO launch vehicles, satellites and scientific missions.

At present, one can access the beta version of the application through ISRO’s website. One can also get access through the direct link by clicking here.

After clicking on the link, you will land the page, welcoming everyone with a huge signage reading ‘Spark — The Space Tech Park’. It is also called India’s first space-themed virtual museum.

What is inside the museum?

By clicking the enter button, one will get entry into the SPARK. On the top left corner, one will get an option to see the virtual museum. The button offers four options that include The Landscape of SPARK, Enter the Museum, Enter the Theatre, and Lobby.

In Museum, one can explore ISRO’s achievements, satellites, and launch vehicles. In Theatre, one can explore ISRO and its achievements with the help of a video playlist.
