New Delhi: Banned betting website Lotus365 continues to operate and rather have a flourishing business, thanks to endorsement & promotion by noted film celebrities with mass following.
The Lotus365 on Wednesday released it’s yet another celebrity promotional video on social media, featuring actress Tamannaah Bhatia.
The banned gaming portal faced flak from awake & informed citizens, the actress was also not spared in the past, whenever she endorsed such brands. But, this didn’t deter them from luring fresh minds & wooing impressionable youths.
In the latest promotional video, actress Tamannaah could be seen playing a game, and responding to quiz questions.
The actress answers the questions and wins prizes for every right answer. She also encourages the participants to partake in the game and win awards like her.
The promotional video of banned portal was shared by the actress on her Instagram handle. In the video, she is heard saying that she loves the game and coaxes others to play it.
Despite govt restrictions, the operation and promotion of such banned portals raises concerns but it also speaks about celebrities’ intent & motive to milk money making opportunity at the cost of public.
Unlike earlier, the promotional video has kept comments option box closed to prevent facing backlash from public. In last such incident, Lotus365 as well as the actress received harsh comments for beguiling public. Many had called out the illegal portal while others complained about losses in thousands & lakhs and why there was no customer care complaint centre to it.
This is not the first time that the actress promoted illegal ‘sport’ in cyber space. She has promoted the banned betting portal, multiple times in her career so far. She used to share the promotional posts on her Instagram pages while enhancing the reach of Lotus365 pages by sharing them.

Another banned betting portal she promoted is FairPlay. In October last year, the the actress advertized FairPlay from her social media handles despite ban on it. And, she also faced public wrath for this. She found herself in line of fire from many netizens as they slammed her for promoting portals, which are actually hazardous for common people and have potential to rob them of their money.
