New Delhi: Blue ticked premium users who meet the minimum requirements of 500 followers and 15 million organic impressions have already begun receiving money from Twitter’s recently introduced ad-revenue sharing programme for artists. In February, when Elon Musk first announced the project, little specifics were known.

X (Twitter), owned by Elon Musk, launched this “Creator Ads Revenue Sharing” scheme last month. Many Blue users immediately started getting money after the first debut.

Before, Twitter had said that all countries where Stripe allowed payments would have access to Creator Ads Revenue Sharing. It meant that Indians couldn’t be paid to tweet, but Twitter also added that the policy could change in the near future.

Users in India have also now started to get benefit from Twitter’s ad revenue model. Users who have had money deposited by X have shown their gratitude by posting images of their bank statements.

Using the handle “Gabbar,” Abhishek Asthana claimed he was paid Rs 2,09,282 by X. He is followed by almost 1.4 million people on Twitter. He wrote, “Blue tick ke paise vasool”

Another user shared a screenshot which claimed to receive payment in his bank account, saying, “Thank you @elonmusk ♥️”

Some users are also creating memes in response to this payment system.

Elon Musk announced on August 5 that only X Premium Blue ticked subscribers are eligible for ad revenue sharing. If users aren’t available for Blue Premium, X will keep the advertising revenue. He assured them that anyone can participate in this programme.
