New Delhi: A new function has been added to WhatsApp, which will be useful for those who are interested in increasing their level of privacy.

A new text status option with disappearing features is being developed for the famous instant messaging service WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta. This feature will let users establish a temporary text status that will automatically disappear after a predetermined time.

As per WABetaInfo.com, version 23.24.10.73 is the latest one that WhatsApp has submitted to the TestFlight beta Program. Within WhatsApp’s settings, the version is shown as 2.23.24.73, whereas the TestFlight build is 23.24.10. (539752939).

In their post on the 2.23.20.12 upgrade to WhatsApp for Android, WABetaInfo.com revealed information regarding a new feature – text status is currently under development.

Reports say that the WhatsApp service is presently working on many updates to the function that will let users attach a profile description. It will let users set a timer to have the profile description vanish after a certain amount of time has passed.

Users will be able to create a temporary text status that will automatically disappear after a predetermined time using the new and updated “about” function including Text Status, with disappearing settings.

Remember that the “Never” option isn’t accessible currently. You will not be able to link a permanent text status to your profile going forward because of this.

According to WABetaInfo, users will be prompted to share text status updates that represent their current ideas or actions since the Never option is not available. This will also guarantee that users have a time-limited status.

According to the report, users will have more control over the availability of their profile information with the launch of the new text status feature with a timer. Users will have the option to create a temporary text status that will vanish after a certain amount of time has passed.

Users may now more easily manage the availability of their personal information, which helps to maintain their privacy. They can post short updates without having a permanent text status linked to their profile.

A new text status feature with choices to make it vanish is being worked on and will be included in an upcoming app version.
