New Delhi: Meta-owned popular instant messaging platform WhatsApp has rolled out several exciting new features with its recently released IOS update version 23.25.79.
These latest features, determined to enhance user experience, are accessible to those who have installed the latest update of WhatsApp from the App Store on their IOS devices.
Although the update is currently only available for IOS users, reports suggest that the same kind of update, bringing similar features, might soon be introduced for Android smartphone users as well.
Meanwhile, here are the new features introduced by WhatsApp in its latest update.
Whatsapp New Features (Update 23.35.79)
1. Pin messages in chats & group chats:
One of the most exciting features of the latest update is that it lets users pin particular messages inside their bilateral chats as well as in groups.
Users will be also given the option to choose one of the three different durations (24 hours, 7 days & 30 days) for which they wish the selected message to be prominently displayed in their chats.
Additionally, users will also have the freedom to unpin any pinned messages from their chats whenever they wish to do the same.
2. Check internet connection’s health while making video calls
This newly added feature introduced by the recently released update will give users the option to see the health of their internet connection while making a video call on WhatsApp.
To check the health of the connection, all now will have to do is to long press the title (during an onto video call) to see the quality of their internet connectivity in real-time.
3. Play voice messages in view once mode:
Yet another striking feature rolled out by META in WhatsApp’s new update. It will let the users send voice messages in view once (hear once) mode.
Enabling this feature means that the person on the receiving end will only be able to hear your voice message for one time and won’t be allowed to play it again, share it, forward it, or even save it for that matter.
This is certainly going to enhance the privacy & security of WhatsApp users to another level, making the messaging platform even more reliable for having confidential conversations.
However, It is important to note here that not all IOS users have received the said update as of now so if you are unable to see the update, you will have to wait for a week or two more to enjoy these new WhatsApp features on your iPhone.
