Who is Manish Chopra, Meta’s Director and Head of Partnerships in India resigns?

Manish Chopra Resignation: Meta’s Director and Head of Partnerships in India, Manish Chopra announced his resignation on Tuesday (May 16).

His exit from Meta India is seen as one of the major exit in 6 months.

Chopra’s exit also comes at a time when Meta is laying off 21,000 people worldwide.

Earlier, Rajiv Aggarwal (Public policy chief), Ajit Mohan (India head), and Abhijit Bose (WhatsApp India head) had tendered their resigned within days of each other.

Who is Manish Chopra?

Manish Chopra, resigned from the post of Meta’s Director and Head of Partnerships in India.

He announced his resignation on his Linkedin profile.

His resignation comes as the fourth instance when a senior executive have left Meta India since November, 2022.

He was part of the company since January 2019.

Manish Chopra was responible for driving growth and engagement across Meta’s family of apps including  Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

Before joining Meta India, he was the co-founder and CEO of app-only deals marketplace Little which was in 2017 acquired by Paytm.

He is  also the co-founder of online apparel brand Zovi.

He also worked in Microsoft for over nine years  across multiple roles.

Chopra also worked for the Oracle for nearly two years.

While, Sandhya Devanathan, VP, Meta India said in a statement that Manish Chopra resigned from his role in Meta to begin a new phase in his professional journey.
