It is reported that wordle was invented by a former employee at the social news website Reddit, Josh Wardle.
New Delhi: These days Twitter is flooded with cryptic patterns of green, grey, and yellow blocks in India. It also somewhat looks like Rubik’s Cube pattern. Many people share these blocks under a word called wordle.

What is Wordle?

In the wordle, one gets six attempts to guess the right word. The word is made of five characters.
When you open the website dedicated to the wordle of the day, you get a big cube. Below the cube, you will get a virtual keyboard.
As you start guessing the character by typing you see one of the three above-mentioned colours in the small square boxes.
If you guess the right character at the right box, you will see the box’s colour turns green. On the other hand, the yellow colour shows you guess the right letter but at the wrong place.
If the box’s colour turns to grey, it means the letter is not in the wordle.
Every time you guess the word of five characters you get an idea with the green box to guess the right word in your next attempt. Letter in the green box helps you reach close to the word.

It is reported that wordle was invented by a former employee at the social news website Reddit, Josh Wardle. He said he never imagine that his idea will garner so much popularity. ”Since launching Wordle, I have been in awe of the response from everyone that has played,” he wrote in a tweet.

Notably, Josh no longer owns the rights of the game. The rights of Wordle was bought by The New York Times in early 2022. Ever since wordle has started gaining more attention of people.
