Army Chief affirms that the Agnipath initiative would have a recruitment schedule soon

During a press conference, General Pande said that the government has approved a “one-time waiver” that will raise the upper age limit for enlistment to 23 years for the 2022 recruitment cycle.

New Delhi: General Manoj Pande, the Indian Army’s chief of staff, stated on Friday that the schedule for the ‘Agnipath’ scheme’s recruitment procedure will be revealed soon. He also urged the country’s youth to take advantage of this chance and join the Indian Army. During a press conference, General Pande said that the government has approved a “one-time waiver” that will raise the upper age limit for enlistment to 23 years for the 2022 recruitment cycle. “Despite the COVID pandemic, many of our young, active, and patriotic youth were prepared to join the recruitment rallies, which could not be finished in the last two years owing to COVID restrictions,” he added.
