
New Delhi: On the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Kaal, the government of India gave a big relief to people by announcing that citizens above the age of 18 years can get free booster doses for the next 75 days. The vaccination of booster jabs will begin on July 12 at all the government centres. Announcing the development, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed the mark of 199 crore.
The new move is expected to further boost the vaccination coverage in the states and UTs. The COVID-19 vaccination for the age group of 12 to 14 years has been going on in the country since March 16, 2022.
