New Delhi: Mohammed Rao Iqrar held aloft the Indian Tricolor and exhorted people to join him in a march for ‘peace’ as a JCB excavator retreated from the capital’s Shaheen Bagh district Monday. Many locals, however, believe that the South Delhi Municipal Corporation, which targeted the Muslim-dominated neighbourhood in an ‘anti-encroachment drive,’ is to blame for the disruption of peace and concord.
