New Delhi: At the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, star Indian shuttler HS Prannoy recalled how he overcame an injury scare during the thrilling conclusion in the Thomas Cup semi-final clash against Denmark’s higher-ranked Rasmus Gemke. HS Prannoy watched his knee slide and jam into the court during the first game of the semi-final clash against World No. 13 Gemke in challenging court conditions in Bangkok, where a number of shuttlers have slipped. Prannoy showed guts and determination as he battled back from behind to beat the Danish shuttler 13-21, 21-9, 21-12, helping India win the game 3-2 and reach their first-ever final in the Thomas Cup team championship.
