New Delhi: SS Rajamouli has certainly had an influence on this generation of directors, as evidenced by the teaser for Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera. The teaser introduces viewers to a ‘lootera’ who is carrying out his father’s quest. In the film, Ranbir plays both father and son. Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist Shuddh Singh, who is hired by the British to track down the criminal who is terrorising the local peasants. Vaani Kapoor appears to have a love story with Ranbir’s character in this film. Recently, Sanjay Dutt appeared in Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj. In Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2, he plays the antagonist Adheera. Vaani was most recently seen in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.
