The untold story of Shivam Dube [WATCH]

New Delhi: Shivam Dube, a Mumbai native, is the type of player who brings three-dimensional worth to the teams he plays for. Shivam grappled with his fitness and a lack of financial support when he was just 14 years old. He didn’t give up, however, and battled hard to make the Mumbai Under-23 team. Shivam made his T20 debut in the 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali competition, and soon after, he played his first List A-game. In 2017-18, he had a fairytale Ranji debut, picking up a five-wicket haul. Dube gained attention after smacking five sixes in an over vs Baroda in the 2018 Ranji Trophy after a couple of strong seasons with Mumbai. Shivam had a fantastic season, taking 23 wickets, and he was quickly signed by Bangalore to play for them in the Indian T20 League in 2019. Dube’s debut for the national squad made the year 2019 a very profitable one for him. He made his T20I debut against Bangladesh, followed by an ODI debut against the West Indies. Shivam set an unwelcome record in 2020 during India’s tour of New Zealand, conceding 34 runs in an over, the second-most expensive over in a T20I competition.
