New Delhi: The family of Mandiver Toor, who was getting married to his fiance Raman, organized a pre-wedding ceremony at the residence of Toor’s aunt in California last month.
As the celebration was in full swing with family, friends, and relatives bashing on the beats of loud Punjabi music, San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office was informed about ‘disturbing’ music playing in the neighborhood.
The joyous air at the function turned a little tense as two deputies arrived at the venue regarding the noise complaint. The nervous family members agreed to turn down the sound of music.
However, the fears of further action all went away when some of the attendees requested the cops to join the bash and much to everyone’s surprise, the deputies joined in.
The cops grooved to the Punjabi music along with other guests, trying to match the steps with them. A video of the heartwarming incident surfaced on social media platforms and became crazy viral.
Have a look at the video here:
The clip was initially uploaded on Instagram by wedding photographer Kanda Productions with caption, “When the cops get called, but it’s a Punjabi Wedding (wait for the flashlight)”.

“We just sang, we danced, we just partied because we were super excited. The music was really loud because it was an outdoor event”, a family member told told ABC10.
“We just turned around and everyone’s like, ‘the cops are here,’. We were kind of nervous because we thought they were going to shut the whole party down and it was pretty early”, he added.
“We asked them to dance and then I taught him two moves, ‘turn the doorknob’, ‘turn the lightbulb’, ‘crush the cigarette’ and he got up there and he just did his own thing. He was awesome,” Toor was quoted by the channel.
Later in a tweet, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Toor family for their hospitality. “Our Deputies were thrilled with the kindness and hospitality of the guests! It should be noted that the homeowners did agree to turn the music down (sic)”, read the tweet.
