Canadian PM Justin Trudeau tested positive for COVID-19

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed everyone on Twitter that he has been tested positive for coronavirus.

New Delhi: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed everyone on Twitter that he has been tested positive for coronavirus.

This comes just days after Trudeau met with the United States President Joe Biden. Informing the development on Twitter, the Canadian PM requested everyone to get vaccinated.

He added that he is feeling well because he has received his vaccine doses. He further said, he will isolate himself and follow the COVID-19 guidelines for the safety of others.

”I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I’ll be following public health guidelines and isolating. I feel okay, but that’s because I got my shots. So, if you haven’t, get vaccinated – and if you can, get boosted. Let’s protect our healthcare system, each other, and ourselves,” wrote Mr. Trudeau on Twitter.

Trudeau met the U.S. President at the summit of the Americas, held in Los Angeles. Notably, Trudeau has been tested positive for the virus for the second time.

Earlier, he was infected with the virus in January this year. It is important to note that Canada has one of the highest rates of vaccination all over the world.
