Drone hits Ex PAK PM Benazir Bhutto’s daughter in the face; watch viral video

Asifa Bhutto, daughter of former Pakistan PM Benazir Bhutto, got injured after a drone hit her in Pakistan’s Khanewal on Friday.

New Delhi: Asifa Bhutto, daughter of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, got injured after a drone hit her. The unfortunate incident happened in Pakistan’s Khanewal on Friday. It is reported that Asifa was attending an anti-government rally, which was organised by her party, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). The anti-government was started in Pakistan on February 27.

Video goes viral on social media

Before being hit by the drone, Asifa was seen encouraging the people of the rally. She was present with her brother Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. Notably, Bilawal is the current PPP chief.

The drone is said to be of a media channel. The operator was trying to record her but he could not maintain a safe distance from Asifa, resulting in a collision with her.

The video show she apparently loses her balance and falls back. Following the collision, the drone was removed by a person standing behind her.

Conspiracy or accident

Following the incident in the rally, the drone operator was caught by the security personnel, according to the reports. The drone also caused some minor injuries to Asifa. Some photos, available on the internet, show she has received some injuries near her right eye and a bandage on her brow.

However, it is yet to be confirmed if the incident was well-planned or conspiracy. Bilawal said he has so far not sure about any conspiracy.

What does the government say? 

The spokesperson of Pakistan’s Punjab government, Hasan Khawar said a doctor was sent at the spot. Asfia also received some bruises on her hand. The PPP leader was also advised to go to hospital but she decided to only use a bandage.

Other senior leaders also took to social media to take the stock of Asifa. They all prayed for the early recovery of Benazir Bhutto’s daughter.
