New Delhi: In addition to being a well-known figure, David Beckham is a football legend. After standing in line for the full twelve hours, David honoured the Queen. According to accounts, Beckham wiped away a tear as he knelt and paid his respects before the Queen’s casket.
The former England football captain told Sky News that he had travelled to Westminster Hall with tens of thousands of others to honour Britain’s “unique” queen. David Beckham was dressed appropriately and looked good. As he stood in line to pay his respects, he was dressed in a dark flat cap, a suit, and a tie. Additionally, David added, “This day was always going to be challenging.”

“It’s amazing to hear all of the individuals here’s stories, and our sympathies are with the family. Receiving an OBE was the most memorable occasion for me (an Order of the British Empire honour from the Queen, which he received in 2003). My ardent royalist grandparents accompanied me. I consider myself quite fortunate to have experienced a few such opportunities to be in Her Majesty’s presence. It’s a depressing day, but one to remember. ”
Although David Beckham claimed to have arrived early to get in line, the rush prevented him from doing so. ITV News quoted him as saying, “I assumed by coming at 2:00 am it was going to be a little bit quieter—I was incorrect.” Once again, Beckham’s admirers were moved by his gesture toward the Queen.
After Queen Elizabeth passed away last week at the age of 96, many athletes from Britain and throughout the globe, including Beckham, paid tribute to her. On Monday morning, more than 2,000 people are anticipated at Westminster Abbey as the queen is honoured with Britain’s first state funeral in nearly 60 years.
