Former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe shot at, suspect detained: Reports

Shinzo Abe shot: Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was attacked by a man from behind.

New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been shot in the city of Nara, reports Japan’s NHK. He was soon rushed to the hospital.

Shinzo Abe collapsed during a speech in the city of Nara, in western Japan.
Suspect has been detained, said  reports.

Initial reports say he may have been injured. An NHK reporter on site heard something that sounded like a gunshot, and saw Abe bleeding, reported Japan’s NHK WORLD News.
