Hong Kong: Giant screen falls on stage during live Boyband Mirror Concert, horrifying VIDEO surfaces online

The screen can be seen hitting the dancer on his head and torso as the other artists rushed to help the injured

New Delhi: During the live concert of renowned boyband Mirror on Thursday, a giant hanging video screen came crashing on the stage and fell right over two dancers.

A wave of horror passed through those present in the Hong Kong Coliseum as the LED screen broke free from the metal wires with which it was attached at a height above the stage.

The incident took place in the fourth concert in the series of 12 such scheduled shows by the Cantopop boyband.

As visible in the clip which went viral on social media, the big hanging screen can be seen falling right over a dancer while boy band members Edan Lui and Anson Lo were performing on the floor among a dozen other dancers.

The screen can be seen hitting the dancer on his head and torso as the other artists rushed to help the injured. The screen further collapsed on the other dancer causing him several injuries too.

According to the police, the accident was reported at around 10:30 pm (local time), and the two dancer were rushed to the nearby Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

“The dancer on whom the screen fell is in severe condition, while the other injured is stable”, the local media reported.

“One of the metal cords snapped, forcing the screen to collapse. We are taking this situation very seriously. The safety of the performance stage is very crucial”, informed Hong Kong’s secretary for culture, sports, and tourism, Kevin Yeung.
