
New Delhi: The Leicester city of United Kingdom is on the boil after incidents of clashes between Hindu & Muslim groups, over the Asia Cup match in which India thrashed Pakistan.
In a fresh flare-up this weekend, a Hindu temple was vandalized and saffron flag was snatched and taken down by an unidentified mob. The video is in wide circulation and has been confirmed by the Leicester police too. Cops have appealed for calm and also launched investigation into the video, where a mobster could be seen removing the saffron flag in presence of many policemen.
In the video, a man covered in black can be seen pulling down a saffron flag while those present could be seen cheering for him.

The communal tension between Hindu & Muslim groups broke out in Leicester city, after India defeated Pakistan in Dubai on August 28.
As the city witnesses bouts of violence and inflamed tempers, the police have swarmed the streets of Leicester and are urging people to stay calm.
Couple of other videos also surfaced on social media where people could be seen angrily protesting while police keeping strong vigil.

As per an statement by Leicestershire Police, violence erupted after a group of men staged an ‘unplanned protest.’
