After the speech, a case was filed against Imran Khan on August 21. The warrant was issued after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief failed to appear before the court to get bail in the case.
In his speech, Khan threatened the cops and the female Judge. Notably, the Judge was involved in the case related to the physical remand of then incarcerated Shahbaz Gill, who faces sedition charges. Imran’s threat came after she extended Gill’s remand.
According to the FIR, the PTI chief attempted to mount pressure on the judiciary and the law enforcers through his speech. The PTI chief has been booked under charges as sections 188, 189, 504 and 506, including terrorism charges.
However, the terrorism charges were dropped by Islamabad HC, referring the case to the civil court from the anti-terrorism court.
To the development, Imran Khan has so far not reacted on Twitter. His last tweet came on September 29.
